It is an issue that we cannot afford to ignore...but it has been an issue all along...since 1980's. My friend, Cynthia, told me that back in 1970's, South Padre Island...it was desolute beach, but very stunning and beautiful place to be.....but now, it is now "littered" (yes, littered) with resorts established along the beach to bring the tourists and vacationers to the beach....pushing the wildlife out of its way of life....trashing the environment without any regards....Well, not everyone does that, but it throws the delicate balance of ecosystem into chaos if majority of people do not respect the environment. I know it firsthand when I go scuba diving and was floored to see how bad shape the coral reef was....cuz of stuff we put into the water that destroy the nutrients that the coral reef needs...and not only coral reef needs, but the fish that lives among the coral reef.....Coral reef and fish depends on each other to survive. *sigh* Enough of ranting it on but it is something that we need to think about..that's if we are doing some thinking AND walking, not just thinking and talking.

Well, that's what they have been planning all along.....opening the pedestal...but, still no access to the crown. That's a progress, at least for now. My suggestion is to go first thing in the morning to visit the Statue of Liberty to avoid long lines and wait in hot and humid weather...then visit Ellis Island afterward.

I am still not sure if I support Kerry....however, Dean endorsed Kerry. It still doesn't convince me to go along with Kerry, though. Of course, I am still looking for someone to replace Bush in the office especially after the bill passed in Senate yesterday and he will sign it into the law. I don't know what to say about overall politics, but I may know more whom I want to support as summer arrives. Wait and see until someone messes up. :)

Found this email from my sister, Dorothy. For these people who are computer-impaired/illiterate, you might feel better knowing that there are dumber people out there. Unbelievelable how these people can come up with anything! :)

Mmmm, I agree that we should keep the state and church SEPARATE, therefore "under God" has to go and go back to pre-1954 wording. We have to respect Americans for their religion belief....Allah, G-d, God, deity(ies) and forth on. I do not think it is fair for government to decide that we, Americans, should "worshop" or defer our belief to God because the government says so. America is known for freedom of practicing religions.....there are multiple religions, but not all of them are under "God". Please do not misinterpret me....I do not have anything against "God", but we still should keep religion and state separate...even Supreme Court banned that prayers and official religious exercises from public schools to uphold our Constitution. Wait and see how the Supreme Court decides this summer.
