Paul E., Roger P. and I went on the tour at Tenement Museum on Orchard Street in Manhattan on beautiful day - 5-April-09. I enjoyed the tour by learning how the family lived in 5-story building with 4 apartments on each floor back in 1860's thru 1920's. It is harder to imagine how it was back then without indoor plumbing system and no health sanitation laws. My family may lived in tenement or boarding house at one point when they first arrived here in America in early 1900's, so it helped me to visualize what they may have experienced, somehow. Recommended for anyone who is interested in learning the history of immigrants living in tenement in late 1800's and early 1900's.
