I am horrified by how women's rights activist was killed by her head being beheaded in Iraq. What is even more disturbing me is that this article only discussed about woman's killing in 3 paragraphs and rest of paragraphs discussed about ongoing arrest issues. I find it strange.

Good article to read....Many Americans do not realize that our US government doesn't donate or provide assistance aboard as much as for domestic programs. Private and public charities pick up huge tabs of covering the expenses to help and provide an assistance to poverty here and aboard. How sad, isn't it?

I am so thrilled to see the program, $100 laptop per child, taking off well in Peru and few other countries. It is one of things that I would love to get involved to help children being part of mainstreaming Information Technology world that they have been excluded for so long time.

Wow.....I felt so good when I read this article....espeically a passage where women gathered to work hard at making solar cookers (copied/pasted below)....Fantastic opportunity for them to form their own business! :)
On a recent visit to the main college campus, a group of village women were hard at work making solar cookers, which can boil a liter of water in eight minutes. They are part of the "Women Barefoot Solar Cooker Engineers Society" -- six women who came together and started their own business.
