I do relate to this article in couple of ways - not watching TV as frequently as I used in the past and book worm. I read two books during weekday and one book at weekend.....one for commuting and one for bedtime reading. Books are like a quencher to my thrist of incorporating knowledge, cultural experience/understanding, real-world vs. virtual-world experience and much more....I used to watch TV probably 3 to 5 hours daily...now, I only manage to watch perhaps 2 hours daily, give or take....I only watch Jeopardy (30 mins program weekday), Everybody Loves Raymond (30 mins program weekday), CSI:Las Vegas (1 hr Thrusdays- dislike Miami), NCIS (1 hr Tuesdays), JAG (1 hr Fridays) and ER (1 hr Thursdays once in while) and West Wing (1 hr Wednesdays once in while). Social life - I do not get to socialize as often as I used in past.....I just find interests that keep me occupied or travel to some places to learn something new or meet my old buddies along the way.
In summary, this is an intersting article to read about the gap in genders in Internet world and image of geek evolved....
