I was watching this movie, "Finding Forrester", played by Sean Connery and Rob Brown....what a moving movie it was!!!! It was about Jamal Wallace, a talented 16-year old basketball player in NYC, whose has a secret passion is writing. William Forrester is a reclusive Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist who never gave the world a second novel. After an accidental meeting, Forrester becomes Jamal's unlikely mentor, providing guidance to help develop the young man's exceptional skills. Soon, Forrester's harsh view of the world begins to change as both men learn lessons from each other about life -- and the iportance of friendship. Highly recommended to watch that movie.
It was a very good movie! I was really captured by it ... I loved how Jamal was very interested in working nad improving his English ... and using this guy to help him ... kinda makes me wish I could meet some old writers and read thier stories ... I bought a book from my university (meant to be read for class for someone) but I wanna read!!! Ernest Hemingway (sp) on short stories ... I saw two of his movies (books into movies) = it was good.
